Changes My family has been homeschooling now for 10 years. In those 10 years, we have seen many good changes in the way homeschool families chose to home educate their children as well as positive changes in the way society accepts these home schooled children. Families have moved beyond the boxed curriculum of yesterday and are successfully pulling together curriculum that challenges students in areas the students have mastered as well as curriculum that strengthens areas of student weakness. Most of our children participate in a home school co-op, choirs, youth groups, music lessons, sports, or other activities which enrich their lives and round out their education. In society, no longer are our children seen as inept or suffering from some social ill. Instead, our culture is beginning to recognize that our children are being raised to be the leaders of tomorrow. Home educated children are being courted by colleges because of their ability to approach situations in a variety of meaningful ways. Our children are being sought out precisely because they are not bound by the cords of traditional education; they have learned to think beyond the confines of a brick and mortar schoolhouse world . Be encouraged! Charlie Taylor
