• By-law update proposal:

  Given the reductions in numbers of families homeschooling, and the resulting fewer member families in CHB, the board desires to reduce the number of members serving on the board, yet maintain the relative percentage of families represented on the board.  To this end, we are proposing that the minimum number of board members be reduced to seven from nine, and a phrase be added to the By-laws indicating the desire that one board members serve per every ten families until we reach 120 members, where it should cap at 12 members.

   

  Current wording:

              SECTION 2.   Composition.   The Board of Directors shall consist of at least nine (9) and no more than twelve (12) members.  The members of the Board of Directors will be elected for  two (2) year terms. 

   

  Proposed wording:

              SECTION 2.   Composition.   The Board of Directors shall consist of at least nine (9) seven (7) and no more than twelve (12) members in a ratio approximating one board member for every ten member families.  The members of the Board of Directors will be elected for  two (2) year terms.
