Evan's Orchard & Cider Mill Event Date: 9/17/2010Check-in Time: 12 PM Start Time: 12:00 PM Event Length: 3 Hours Cost: $6 - Pre-payment Required. Contact: Elizabeth Lin - e.lin@moreheadstate.edu Deadline: 9/10/2010 - Pre-registration Required. Age/Grade Restriction: Minimum age through years old. Description: Join us at the Evan's Orchard and Cider Mill in Georgetown, KY for lunch and an apple tour. We will meet at noon at the picnic and play area for lunch and then begin our tour at 1 PM. You may purchase a sack lunch there or bring your own. The Apple Tour Includes: •Detailed discussion of life cycle of apples •Learn how apples are sorted by size & color •Walk through the apple cooler •Observe how apple cider is made •Bee observatory and learning board •Play area, with corn maze, apple cider slider, hay castle, rat racers, rope maze, & more •Farm and unique animals including kangaroos, baby camels, ring tailed lemur •Wagon ride through the orchard & pumpkin patch •Each student gets two apples •Each student receives an Apple Orchard Coloring Book to remember their visit Details/Notes: All persons age 2 and over are $6. Infants under age 2 are free. Optional sack lunch is $3.50 per person and includes the following; a hot dog, chips, and a souvenir apple sipper (8 oz) filled with fresh pressed apple cider. Please note the number of lunches desired on your registration form, and please include that amount in your check. From Lexington: We are eight miles north of the I-75 bridge (exit 115) on Newtown Pike (HWY922). Take a right onto Stone Road. We are the third drive on the left. |
