Learning Zone

Welcome to the Learning Zone information page. For those unfamiliar with Learning Zone, let me tell you a little about us.
LZ is a ministry provided to the CHB membership. You must be a current member of CHB and homeschooling full time in order to participate in LZ.
Learning Zone meets one day a week for three hours and each semester is 12 weeks long. Children in Preschool through 8th grade are invited to attend. Parents pay a membership fee and a set amount to each teacher for their time and supplies.
Learning Zone is geared toward the academics. However, we have been creative in our curriculums and each class is hands on fun!!
We are currently gearing up for the 2008 - 2009 school years. Our registration began at the Mom's Night Out meeting on April 29, 2008. Many classes were filled by the night's end.
Fall Information:
Location: Tates Creek Christian Church, Tates Creek Rd., Lexington, KY
Hours: Thursdays, 12 - 3pm

Early Elementary:
- Language Fun

- Astronomy I
Intermediate Elementary:
- Logic and Critical Thinking
- Astronomy II
- Drama
- Institute for Excellence in Writing (9 - 10 year olds ONLY)
Middle School:
- Philosophy
- Geography
- Smart Art
- Mystery Disease (7th - 8th grade ONLY)
